Hey Jessica and Vanessa, My husband & I purchased a Shih Tzu puppy in January of 07. That was the BEST purchase we have ever made in the 4 years that we have been married. Nothing compares to the love that we have for our bundle of Joy. He was the best thing that happened to us. This is our first dog and we could not have asked for a better dog. A note of thanks for my Rusty I bought just a year ago. He is a red Cockapoo and sure has been a godsend for me. Since my husband had recently died , Rusty has become my comforter and protector. Hi you guys. . We didn't see you the other weekend when we boarded Nikki - hope all is well with both of you. Of course, Nikki came home from her overnighter feeling tired but very happy. The interaction she gets at your Pet Camp is so good for her. Naturally, you will be seeing her again in the near future.

We had Halloween pictures of Nikki to show you - so I'm sending them to you instead. Our daughter bought this pumpkin costume for Nikki...cute, huh? She seemed very embarrassed, but hey, it was Halloween as well as her 2nd birthday. We had to get pictures. I included one of her out walking, looking a little more like herself. What did we do before you guys brought her into our lives?

sleeps w/ the bullies but when he's ready 2 romp, he hangs w/ the

We just wanted to send some pictures for your site and thank you so much for our puppy Gino. He is maltese/shih tzu mix and white with a hint of cream running down his back. Gino is almost 3 months old now and learning very quickly, very smart dog. He plays well with kids, adults and other dogs. Gino likes to play fetch and learn to tricks, but is our little cuddle bug when he's sleepy or wants some lovin. Did we mention he's spoiled by all that are around him?! We can't imagine our life without him now. He goes everywhere with us and we're constantly telling people about your store and how wonderful you all were to work with! Thanks again!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know how wonderful our little dog, Nicky, is. We got our Papillion in Aug. of last year. He loves making everyone happy, loves playing with my husband in the evening. He likes when I wash clothes, riding in the baskets, when I takes clothes to and from the laundry room. The whole neighborhood just thinks he's the cutest thing they've ever seen. He's doing great, he came home and ate like a little piggy. We wanted to update you on our Bulldog/pug puppy. She turned one year

old on March 13th and we have had her for about ten months now. She is

the best dog we have ever had! She loves to cuddle, but don't let that

fool you, she is ALWAYS full of energy. She always wants to play. We

can not imagine us without Daisy in our lives. Our Perky Puppy

experience has been great, and once we move we will be looking for a

friend for Daisy. I would recommend your place and this kind of dog to

Hello, I just wanted to update you on the doxie I bought from you. We named her Daisy. She is the cutest little weiner dog ever, although we are very partial. She gets along great with our older weiner dog, Rosie. Now that the weather is nicer, we are working on her using the outside to potty and not just run with the wind in her ears. She absolutely loves the outdoors. And we absolutely love her. Thank you for having the greatest dog for us.

Becky-Thanks for your phone call today to inquire about our new Schnoodle, Murphy. As I mentioned,

he's doing very well..........eating and growing well. He's had two vet visits so far for shots & checkups and they say he's quite healthy. He sure is a frisky dog....loves to play with his many toys & is excited to see new people, especially kids. He looks forward to me getting down on the floor with him each morning for some play time and usually ends up in my lap after he tires out.

Murphy seems to be an exceptionally intelligent dog.....he learned to ring a bell to go out for his business in just one day after I brought him home and ALMOST always goes out. The only problem is he quickly learned that he could go outside to play the same way, which he really enjoys. He already knows a few tricks which he picked up very quickly.

Attached are a few pictures of Murphy.....he even poses well for pictures. We get a lot of compliments over him ....strangers even stop us to see him, so don't be surprised if you start to get a few more inquiries from these parts.

He is so great with our horses. He never ceases to amaze us that he knows each horses name! After he gets the horse that we want he will then jump in the water trough. He cracks us up! Hi Vanessa: Cooper is the best thing that ever happened to me! Really! He is the light of my life and I am so happy I made that trip in the snow last year. We talk about it all the time. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary on Friday. It has gone really fast. When I bought Cooper, I lived in an apartment - well that wasn't good enough for my baby, so I bought him a house with a fenced in yard. It is perfect! Trek is almost a year old now. He is completely housebroken and uses a bell to let us know when he needs to go out. This has made home life very good for both dog and owner. He has become our traveling companion and is learning how to behave on his leash and with other people. Life with a Boggle has been all we wished for and better than we expected. I bought the white Shih tzu yesterday. Just wanted to let you know that it has been a very smooth transition so far. I can't believe the energy of this puppy! She played from the minute we got home to late last night! My daughters played with her all night and they absolutely love her.

Hi, I just wanted to let everybody there know that the red sable and white Pomeranian puppy I bought from you on July 29th is doing very, very well. His name is Opie (due to his red hair). He had a Puppy Wellness check last week and the vet said he was totally healthy! He weighed 2.6 pounds, but I think he weighs more this week. I can already tell he has grown. He is very playful and has lots of toys (although he likes my sister's shoes better!). So many people who have met him say, "That's the cutest dog I've ever seen!" He eats his meals really well now and we don't even have to wet the food. Our Sheltie, Bonny, gets annoyed with him at times but she actually likes him a lot. Sometimes she sits really close to him while he's playing and just beams at him. The cats are more uncertain, but they're all right. He doesn't bark very much but one thing always makes him bark: one of our doorstops. He absolutely hates that thing! I don't know why, but when he sees it he barks and growls. It's quite funny. We love watching him prance around as if he owns the place. We also like how sweet he is when he gets sleepy. He and I will be moving to Chicago on August 15 (I got him so he could be my little friend in Chicago). I have all his little traveling gear ready to go.

Anyway, as you can tell, I really love Opie. Thanks for making him available! Franchesca Nestor

Hi, I bought a little Pomeranian from you in late July. I just wanted to let everyone there at the Perky Puppy know how Opie is doing.

He lives with me in Chicago now (I'm here for grad school). We've been here, just the two of us, for almost two months now. I don't know what I'd do without him. I got a dog specifically to keep me company, and Opie does that and so much more.

He loves to go on walks to Nichols Park, which is about a block from my apartment. Literally EVERY time I take him anywhere I get stopped (usually more than once) by people who are saying how adorable he is, asking questions about his age, breed, and name, and asking if they can hold him or pet him. Luckily, Opie is totally up for this. He loves to meet new people, and he is game for any other kind of new experiences as well. He even got along well during the nine-hour drive here in August. People in school with me who have seen him always ask, "How's Opie?" when they see me. One person even asked me where I got him, so your name's out there in Chicago now!

He's an adorable little sweetheart and I love him so much (as evidenced by his many toys and extensive wardrobe which now includes a pirate costume for Halloween). Thank you for him!

Hi, Here's update #2 on the great Opie, the Pom I got from you in July. He will celebrate his nine-month birthday on the day after Valentine's Day, which is appropriate because he certainly has been my little Valentine! I love him SO much and so does everyone who meets him. Just today, three days after having seen Opie in his new leather bomber jacket (in which he looks particularly good), the super of my building said to me, "Where did you get that cute little dog? I wanted to ask." So I told him! Opie is a great little traveler and has now flown between Chicago and Pittsburgh a total of seven times. He is also great on walks and to play with, but also good about letting me study. He simply digs around in his toy box until he finds something worthwhile. He is super-smart and learns tricks almost always the day I start teaching them. He now knows "sit," "stay," "down," "shake hands," "spin," and "give me a hug." I never sent you a picture of him in his Halloween costume, so I have attached one. He was a pirate. He has grown so much since then, though, so I have also attached a picture I took of him just a few days ago. In it he's wearing his t-shirt that says "heart breaker" on it. I look at the puppies you have on your site from time to time and my heart always melts. I wouldn't be surprised if here in a few years Opie and I are knocking on your door, asking for a new baby!

I thought that you might like to see how my daughter's Fox Terrier/Pomeranian has grown. We bought him from you in early July. Buddy is a very good tempered dog and house trained fairly easily. Buddy has become somewhat of a rabbit hunter in his small enclosed back yard. In the last two months, he has killed two rabbits . The most recent one was while he was on his leash just a couple of days ago. It is a good thing that he has all of his shots!

Hi Jessica thought I would drop you a line on our Poms we purchased at your home based puppy "place". You and your associates are so friendly and informative that "store" isn't the impression my family walked away with when we brought our first pom "Tinker" home. He has been such an addition to our family since May, that we had to come back and add Pixie to our home! She is a doll! Neither pom was hard to house break. They have been no trouble! We love them so and hold your "place" responsible for all our joy! Thank you all for your time patience and knowledge you gave so freely.

We just brought our brand new puppy back from his first vet visit since we adopted him two days ago. I have to tell you what a wonderful experience adopting from the Perky Puppy was for us. The vet was extremely impressed with the care that the puppy received before he came to to this family. He is in great shape and that is obviously due to the care and devotion that you gave him while he was with you. Now to the important part - how much we adore this puppy!! He is so cute, happy and lively - everything we dreamed about when we thought of owning a puppy. We also want to thank your "stork" Bart - he kept us informed every step of the way and made the transition from canine mom to human mom very easy. We promise to send pictures soon but we took so many when Bailey came to live with us that the photo store asked for a few days to process the pictures. I just wanted to tell everyone how pleased I am with my Shih Tzu puppy I purchased a couple weeks ago. I named her Little Miss Paddycakes a.k.a. Paddy. She uses her front feet a lot when I/we play with her and that is how she got her name. She is very healthy, playful, and smart. We all love her.

I can't say enough positive things about the Perky Puppy home. The first thing I noticed when I walked in the door was the fresh clean smell. There were lots of puppies in the room we entered and everything was neat and clean. All the puppies were very healthy looking.

Speaking of puppies...WOW!! If you love puppies this place is puppy heaven. So many cute faces and everybody looked happy and content while waiting for the arrival of their new owners.

The Perky Puppy staff is very welcoming, polite and will answer all of your questions. Plus, they were very patient with me asking a lot of questions and they are great with the pups, too.

I'm sorry I haven't sent pictures, but as you would know, we have a great new puppy who takes up a lot of our time. My son Josh loves his new puppy, and as you can see the puppy loves him, he named him THUNDER. We took him to the vet the Monday after we picked him up, and he weighed in at 11 pounds. I think he is very happy, and he sleeps all night and didn't give us any problems. Were teaching him how to ring the bell when he has to go "potty", its working out great! THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE

Luca is settling in well here in Connecticut! She is so much fun and everyone loves her. She is such a smart puppy, she knows "sit" already and is doing well with house-breaking. We're still working on "no" though. She loves people and loves to play fetch and hide-and-seek outside. But her favorite thing to do is curl up on a lap and watch TV. (and yes, she really watches). I wanted to give you an update regarding Di and Grace. They are settling in well into the Rodney household thus far. Friday night Di was reluctant to eat. However, since the next morning, they have both been hearty eaters. The kids simply adore them as do Mary and I. Both, DI and Grace are full of energy and very playful. We look forward to them being a part of the family for many years.

Before I forget, I did verify that the New Albany Mill does carry the Exclusive brand of puppy food and usually keeps its supply well stocked.

Oh my goodness, I LOVE this puppy!! We changed his name from Buster to Buddy, which I think is a bit more fitting for him. He is the sweetest, most lovable guy in the world...and such a fast learner!! He's doing really well with potty training and is great in his crate. Thank you so much for our newest addition! We love her so much!!! We finally picked a name for her. It took a while because we couldn't think of a "cookie" name for her. We have Shoogie (sugar cookie kleeh), Orea (cookie cream kleeh), and now GINGER (snap kleeh). Ginger loves her new home and has already made herself comfortable finding new places to snooze in our house. Well...his name is officially "Rocco".... the more I got to know him, the more that the name fit him. He is doing very, very well. He is such a good puppy. Potty training has been a breeze for him so far. We have only had 2 accidents since we brought him home and those were after playing very hard and being very excited! Today, he went to the vet and he was so pleased with him. He says that he is very healthy! He weighed 14 pounds today and the vet expects that he will weigh about 90 pounds when fully grown! I am going to have a big boy...I guess I better carry him around and snuggle with him all that i can now while he is just growing! He behaved like a little man at the vet today....they just ranted and! raved at what a good puppy he was. I am very proud of him...he has brought much joy already! Thank you again for being so good to us...i will be sending pictures through the mail soon. He is a doll....talk to you both again soon.

Dear Jessica:

We bought a JackRussell-Yorkie male from you back in Sept.2004.

We called him Corky. He is our pride and joy. He is like my shadow: where I go-he goes. We also got a Jack Russell female a month later. She was such a tiny thing but believe it-she rules the roost. The 2 of them weigh about 12 pounds each. They both have been fixed and regular check-ups with the vet. They play so well together. It is like having a circus at our home. They are forever chasing each other or playing tug a war or chewing on each other.

Corky loves playing ball. He even plays ball by him self. He throws the ball up in the air and catches it. I am forever finding balls up on my hutch. Corky listens very well and is so well behaved. He is a big baby when it comes to going out side. We have a fenced back yard (25 by 25) and he pees and poops right by the basement door and only goes out farther if he decides to play chase or peek-a-boo around the pine tree with Roxy ( our female).

We have never enjoyed having dogs so much has we are now. My husband and I want

to thank you for being there with Corky.

This is our Toy Poodle, Chooie! He is now 7 months old. Here he is resting after the 4^th of July parade. Chooie is a very playful “perky” puppy. The kids call him Chooie Wooie! He loves to eat fresh vegetables and play fetch. We’re so glad to have him in our family!!

Dakhoda is the perfect pet.

We all love having her around. She's so friendly We all love having her around. She's so friendly and happy all of the time. She keeps us laughing, especially playing with the cat. Dakhoda will chase the cat, and next thing you know the cat is chasing her. There is never a dull moment with her around.

We had this cute picture of Diego (blue & tan) and Lola (white) our Perky Puppy Chihuahuas. This is how they spent most of the Pittsburgh winter--sunning on the back of our loveseat.

They are both doing great. Lola was a great addition and a wonderful playmate for Diego. Diego is almost one year old now and weighs 7 lbs. Lola is 8 months old and weighs in at a whopping 4 1/2 lbs. We have hopes she'll get a little bigger yet.

They will both be making a trip to the Outer Banks, NC in May with us to enjoy the beach.

Hello there. This is Amanda Masciarelli, I am 13 years old. I bought a "Mini American Eskimo" from you December 29, 2004. We were choosing between the Mini Eskimo and the Cocker Spaniel. But we took the Eskimo. I named her L.J. standing for Lacey Junior. Right before we left you told us to email you and tell you how she is doing. I know it has been a while since. So far L.J. is pretty great. She is pretty much housetrained but may still have an accident in the house once in a while, but that is only when she as drunken to much or when she is scared. We just recently started an obedience class 6 weeks ago to teach the dog's commands. But sadly this is our last week. Thursday April 28 is our last day. She was the youngest and the best there. L.J. is very well mannered but can have her jumpy moments. But I still love her to death. Ok well thanks for reading this. Just wanted to send you new photos of our puppy, Romeo. He is doing well and has fit into our family so nicely....my husband has turned into a lap dog person after all, just like you said he would. He is like the baby in the house. He received his first haircut the other day and is so studly now. He and our daughter are just the best of buds as you will see in the pictures, they play for hours on end and our cat even gets along well with him.

The puppy is doing GREAT!!!  We named him Willie.  He was a big surprise for our daughter and she loves him.  He has had a couple of accidents in the house, but we figured out that when he starts sniffing a lot to get him outside.  He loves to cuddle up with us when he gets tired of playing.  He loves to go after our toes.  Everyone that has seen Willie wants to take him home.  We've been letting people know where we got him so maybe you might be getting some calls.

Please let Vanessa know that we found a store here that sells Exclusive dog food so we won't have to change what he eats.

Just wanted to thank each one of you for everything. We have the most loveable, sweetest and rotten little Yorkie ever! ! ! ! She is just wonderful. Well, as promised, here are some pictures of the puppy. She still remains unnamed. However, Hershey Kiss and Cocoa are some new possibilities for this cute little girl. She did very well last night. She played and ran around in her new home. She took all her toys and put them in her bed. She also has been really good about going to the bathroom outside. She has only had one “accident” so far! Just wanted to touch base. We went to see Dr. Radcliffe today. Irish had a good check up. He weighed in at only 2 lbs. He is so loved and I could not imagine life without him. Thanks for taking care of him during his stay at The Perky Puppy. He and I are very attached to each other.   I got him a seat belt and he travels everywhere with me! He sleeps under the covers with me. He is by my side at all times. I wish I could take him to work, maybe someday . . . . but for now, he is OK with the crate. I just wanted you to know he is doing great and how much I love him!

We got a Boston Terrier "Puddles" in May, and I want to thank you! She is great! The kids named her "Puddles" cause that was the first thing she did when she came home was made puddles.She is the best I've ever had. She does everything with the family! She waits for the kids to get off the bus and plays with them and she sleeps with me and my husband under the blankets! She makes sure she is the queen of the house!

I just wanted to let you know that Sebastion is doing great. He has taken over the house. He is 35 lbs now and growing. I have sent you a picture of him watching TV, one of his favorite past times.
